The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (NCAOC)

The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (NCAOC) provides support for all Judicial Branch officials, hiring authorities and employees. It administers salaries and benefits; provides supplies, equipment, and technology; and provides standardized court forms.

The NCAOC also advocates for the courts for funding with the General Assembly and for administrative support at the State level. The NCAOC coordinates services for local court officials such as the Guardian ad Litem program, Language Access Services, and Custody Mediation.

The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts does not hire, fire, or supervise court officials or their employees. The NCAOC does not supervise, control, or direct judicial officials in performing their official duties.
