Use of State Property

State property must be used carefully and properly. Remember, your tax dollars helped pay for all the equipment you use - whether it’s something as small as a pencil or as large as a State vehicle. Improper use is a violation of criminal law and may result in disciplinary action or termination. Improper use of State property includes, but is not limited to, motor vehicles, furniture, computers, telephone equipment, copiers, and fax machines.

While personal calls are occasionally necessary, they are to be limited. Under no circumstances should long distance calls or toll calls of a personal nature be made at the State’s expense.
