Consolidated Judicial Retirement System of North Carolina
 
If you are a Justice, Judge, Clerk of Superior Court, District Attorney, Public Defender, Juvenile Defender, Appellate Defender, Capital Defender, IDS Executive Director, or the Administrative Officer of the Courts, you are a member of the Consolidated Judicial Retirement System of North Carolina. The employee's contribution under this system is six percent of his/her salary. Enrollment in the Consolidated Judicial Retirement System is mandatory. Once your first contribution has been made an employee number will be assigned, you will receive notification from your NCAOC Benefits Specialist asking you to log onto the ORBIT System to activate your personal account and designate a beneficiary(ies).
