As an employee of the State of North Carolina, by law, some information about your employment is public information. It may be requested by anyone, and, as public information, it must be provided to them. The items of information about State employees that are public are:
- Your name
- Your age
- The date of your original employment with the State
- Your current position and title
- Current salary
- The date and amount of each salary increase or decrease you receive
- The date and general description of the reasons for each promotion you achieve
- The date and type of each dismissal, suspension or demotion for disciplinary reasons. If the disciplinary action was a dismissal, a copy of the written notice of the final decision setting forth the specific acts or omissions that are the basis of the dismissal
- The office to which you are assigned
